Sacramento Republic FC are excited to announce Mike Kjolhaug as the winner of this year's Paint the Park contest. Kjolhaug takes the grand prize, which includes $1,000 and pre-qualification to the 2020 Wide Open Walls mural festival.
"I would just like to say I am completely overwhelmed with all of the love, likes, shares and just overall positivity that has been thrown my way this last week," said Kjolhaug. "I could not have gotten this without the help of my team(s). Thank you again to everyone who had a part in making this a reality for me and my family!"
Kjolhaug received the majority of the votes for his piece, "Protect Your Heart", which features the California State Capitol, the Tower Bridge, a bear, and the club crest. The piece beat our three other finalists, all of who were part of this year's Paint The Park Night on August 7.
