Glory Glory Sacramento Fund

About the Glory Glory Sacramento Fund

Sacramento Republic FC launched the Glory Glory Sacramento Fund to celebrate and elevate nonprofits that share the same indomitable spirit as our region. The fund provides individual grants up to $20,000 to Sacramento region nonprofits that support education, health/wellness or youth leadership. In the keeping of our club’s own humble beginnings, applications are encouraged especially for those Sacramento region nonprofits that provide a big impact with minimal resources.

At least ten nonprofits will be selected in the first round of grants totaling approximately $150,000 in total funding. Additional rounds of grants to be considered and announced at a later date.

We say it takes a Republic! The impact of this fund and program will extend beyond solely a monetary donation but also by activating our players, fans and partners to join in our efforts. In addition, each nonprofit selected to receive a grant will also receive:

  • Participation at a Republic FC home match including on-site promotion, recognition and a call to action for fans or partners to match the club’s donation
  • Pairing with a Republic FC player who will serve as a spokesperson, mentor or similar
  • Tickets to a Republic FC home match that may be used as student incentives, volunteer appreciation gifts or fundraising
  • Featured content and promotion, including a video, on Republic FC’s website, social media and more to bring awareness to the nonprofits efforts and work in the community

Glory Glory Sacramento would not be possible without the support, guidance and administration of the Sacramento Region Community Foundation. They will serve as a partner both in the administration of the fund and input towards community needs.
