Wilson Kneeshaw has also been in good form of late, recording three assists and scoring a goal during the unbeaten streak. The forward moved himself into a tie for second on the club with four assists on the season. Kneeshaw, Ochoa and Caesar have combined for 14 goals and 11 assists on the season, including six goals and seven assists in the last five matches.
WFC2 enter the match with a nine-match winless streak, during which they have gone 0-4-5. Most recently, WFC2 drew 3-3 with Rio Grande Valley FC Toros on Wednesday, Aug. 2. Two penalties, including one in stoppage time, undid a young WFC2 side, whose average age is just 21 years old.

Bustos has now scored 19 goals in three seasons with WFC2, after being signed as a Homegrown player by Vancouver Whitecaps FC (MLS). Bustos was ranked ninth last season in the USL’s Twenty-under-Twenty list after scoring 14 goals in his first two seasons and leading WFC2 to the playoffs in 2016.
Defender Deklan Wynne and forward Myer Bevan received a call-up for the New Zealand Men’s National Team for their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in September. This was the first call-up for Bevan, while Wynne has earned 19 caps for the Kiwis. Wynne has a goal and an assist this season, while Bevan has recorded a goal.
