Sacramento, Calif. – With over 50 businesses nominated, fan and community voting for the Republic FC Kickstart program will begin today at www.sacrepublicfc.com/suncrestbank. The program designed to assist black-owned small businesses in the greater Sacramento Region facing economic challenges through the pandemic will distribute a $5,000 grand prize grant, as well as a $2,500 award and three $1,000 grants. The field has been set with small businesses from across the Capital region, representing health & fitness, technology, restaurants and culinary creators, fashion, art, education and much more. Each nominee will also receive free educational services and consulting resources provided by Suncrest Bank.
Voting is now open and will run through September 22. Fans can vote for up to five businesses, casting one ballot daily. For a full list of nominees, visit www.sacrepublicfc.com/suncrestbank.
The top five businesses as selected by the club’s fans will have one final opportunity to make their case for the $5,000 grant. The five finalists will create a sixty-second pitch video, as well as present to the final judging panel including a representative from Suncrest Bank and Republic FC, as well as Sacramento Black Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Azizza Davis Goines, Media host Big Al Sams, and Savvy Consulting Founder Jovan Agee.
