Murray noted in his article, “As a 17-year-old signing in one of the more experienced squads in the Championship a season ago, Hayden Sargis was a revelation. The SRFC Academy product produced impressively in his first campaign and was named a finalist for the Championship’s Young Player of the Year as a result. This year, that will bring added expectation, but if Sargis – who turns 19 on May 2 – shows progression in Year 2, his future could be wide open.”

Prior to debuting for Sacramento’s first team in 2020 on March 7 against FC Tulsa, Sargis was a member of the Indomitable Club’s youth academy since its inception in 2015.
During the 2020 USL Championship season, the Turlock-native made 15 appearances – 14 of which were starts – and logged over 1,200 minutes of first team league play. Sargis was also named as a league-wide Young Players of the Year Finalist – the only one of three finalists to be nominated in his debut season.
Sargis and the boys in Old Glory Red will be kicking off the 2021 USL Championship season in southern California on April 30 against LA Galaxy II.
