On the team fighting back from a goal down twice against Oakland…
On the team fighting back from a goal down twice against Oakland…
“For me, that was extremely pleasing to be honest. The goals we gave up, we shouldn’t have given up. But to come back twice, and we should have won the game, we created enough chances to take the three points, but for me, it showed me that when we have a little bit of a chip on our shoulder, when we play with a bit of confidence, when we get people in the right areas, we’re a hard team to play against. We have to keep trusting the process and keep believing what we’re doing.”

On preparing for Orange County a second time this season…
“We prepare exactly the same as we prepare for any of our opponents. We went through what we think Orange County will do this morning. We showed clips, we showed their set pieces, their throw-ins, their corners, their style of play, their personnel. So, the players are prepared. The players understand what we think they’ll through at them and the players understand how we feel we can exploit them. Now, it’s just about going out and executing – and honestly, hoping they get a good night sleep because the amount of players we have and the amount of games in a short period of time isn’t easy.”

On taking what the team learned from the first meeting to prepare for Saturday…
“As much as you can, you have to take it one game at a time. Take it for what it is, but it would be foolish not to learn from those previous experiences that we have with those teams because over the course of the season, teams have tendencies and those tendencies will repeat themselves.”
On the versatility he’s displayed this season…
“I’m grateful that the coaching staff sees whatever versatility, whatever skill set that I might have that’s valuable to be on the field. I hope to continue to make Coach’s job difficult and forcing his hand to put me on the field, because I want to play. I’m grateful they see it that way, not everyone always sees it that way, sometimes I don’t see it that way in terms of it being a benefit but I’m grateful we’re seeing it here and I’m grateful to be on the field.”

On how he feels about the attacking group after the team score three on Wednesday…
“It’s always good to score three goals, the problem is to concede three goals, but we were creating a lot of chances – we had a lot of chances, that’s a positive. That was a tie, that was history, and we work for the next one.”
On preparing for Orange County…
“We played against them, we know their strong sides and weak sides but it’s going to be a different game. We will see. But we are not focused on Orange County, we know they are a tough opponent, but we try to be focused on ourselves and try to create as many [goal scoring] situations as we can.”
