On May 12, fourteen Republic FC academy players were selected to participate in the U.S. Soccer Youth National Team Regional Identification Center in San Jose.

On May 12, fourteen Republic FC academy players were selected to participate in the U.S. Soccer Youth National Team Regional Identification Center in San Jose.
The IDCs are a chance to identify top young talent in different domestic regions. SRFC’s players trained and competed against players from other youth clubs in a single day split into two separate sessions for different age groups – players born in 2004 to 2005 was one group and the other was players born 2006 to 2007 – under the direction of U.S. Soccer Talent Identification Managers.

With the youth playoffs in Dallas right around the corner in June, the Republic FC Youth Academies are hoping to hit their peak form at just the right time.
Most notably, the U13 and U14 have been soaring as of late.
On May 15, the SRFC U13s cruised to a 12-0 victory over Napa United and followed up the triumph with a 5-0 win over Sheriffs FC the following day. The squad continued its success the very next weekend with back-to-back 6-0 wins at home over Lamorinda SC this past Saturday followed by another six-goal shutout victory on Sunday over Ballistic United. The U13s currently sit in third place with a 5-0-1 record and have only surrendered three goals all season.
The U14s sit in first place with a flawless 6-0-0 record and like the U13s, have only allowed three goals over the course of the entire campaign which is the fewest in the division. The squad snagged a 5-0 win over Napa United on May 15 before downing Sheriffs FC 7-0 on May 16. On May 22, the U14s earned a 7-1 victory over Lamorinda SC before securing a 3-0 win over Ballistic United at home this past Sunday.
The U15s, U17s, and U19s also secured victories over Ballistic United with 4-0, 4-1, and 1-0 wins respectively. This continues to place the U15 and U17 groups in first place, with the U19s currently in second.
The Academy will take the pitch against San Jose Earthquake’s Academy teams on June 12.
The Indomitable Club is the only Northern California club with a direct pathway to playing at the professional level with an academy that plays in the country’s premier youth soccer platform, MLS Next.
On Saturday, June 5 and Sunday, June 6, Republic FC’s Academy will host open tryouts for players born in 2005/2006 (U17) and 2003/2004 (U19). The tryout is an opportunity for elite youth soccer players to be evaluated by SRFC Academy coaches and first team technical staff and additional information on registration can be found here.
